Description: Through Criminal Justice Facilities Construction Financing Programs (SB 1022 and AB 900), Tuolumne County was awarded a total of $33 Million for the construction of a new jail. The jail facility is roughly 63,000 sq. ft. and consists of the following: 8 housing units with 230 beds, administrative support area, In-take, central control lobby/public visitation area, program areas, medical clinic, laundry, kitchen, vehicle sally port, and site improvements.
