CTS provides Surface Friction Testing as outlined by ASTM E303
ASTM E303 – “Standard Test Method for Measuring Surface Frictional Properties Using the British Pendulum Tester”
This test measures frictional properties, skid resistance, and microtextures of surfaces, either in the field or laboratory.
To perform this test, CTS uses a device called the British pendulum tester, a dynamic pendulum impact-type tester that measures the amount of energy lost when a rubber slider is propelled over a test surface.
